Functions 
The diploma holder in production and industrial engineering will be able to:  
1. Prepare, read and interpret drawings.
2. Plan and control production processes at the shop floor level in manufacturing industries.
3. Carry out fault location, diagnosis and take corrective action.
4. Guide the workers as regards proper selection and correct use of tools, machines and working methods.
5. Improve existing methods or develop new methods of work leading to better quality and productivity and ensure its implementation.
6. Select, procure, test and inspect materials.
7. Inspect and control the quality of the product.
8. Select, train and manage the workers.
